Yesterday, Rod Rosenstein made a huge announcement!
“The indictment charges 13 Russian nationals and 3 Russian companies for committing federal crimes while seeking to interfere in the United States political system, including the 2016 presidential election.”
Rosenstein indicted 13 low level Russian trolls! WOW! And then made this blockbuster announcement, which is code for ‘there’s nothing here’.
“No Americans were conscious participants in this illegal activity, and nothing in this indictment altered the outcome of the 2016 election.”
For this reason, on the Tucker Carlson Tonight show, Tucker reviewed what the 13 Russian Facebook trolls were able to pull off. First, Tucker made the point, the indictment begins in “2014, this was, of course, before Donald Trump or any other candidate had declared for the Presidential race.” Logic dictates, if they started in 2014, then it would not have mattered who the primary candidates for either party were. Or, who the candidates were for the general election for President. To read the 37 page indictment click here. Tucker reported,
FBI Chases 13 Trolls Who Had Zero Effect On Election
Second, Tucker continues with very interesting details on what the Russian trolls were able to do.
“The effort did not seem to have a particularly ideological agenda, the point, was to stir up trouble during the 2016 Race. These 13 Russians, allegedly, ran Facebook ads. And also, tried to organize events that criticized Hillary Clinton. And supported Donald Trump. But the Russians, also supported some left-wingers like Bernie Sanders and Black Lives Matter.“
Carlson then stated, “Hillary Clinton was the front-runner for most of the race and they wanted to yank her chain, and they did. But once the election was over. The Russians, immediately started organizing rallies against Donald Trump. ‘Rallies’ is probably an over statement,” Tucker said with amusement in his eye.
Last, Tucker lists the events the Russians attempted. Obviously, they are a disappointment in their inability of success. Tucker said:
“An anti-Muslim event, allegedly organized by the Russians, drew a total of four RSVP’s. An anti-Hillary event in New York, got just forty-five. The only really successful event the Russians appeared to have pulled off. Seems to be an Anti-Trump rally in New York City after the election right outside of Trump Tower.”
In ending, Carlson continued, “Now, all of this is annoying. Obviously, they’re foreigners. But none of it seems momentous. Here’s what is NOT in the indictment. Any evidence, at all, that any Russian behavior changed a single vote or did anything to sway the election.”
