Jerry Brown just learned a very valuable lesson – don’t poke the bear. Brown thought he had secured a liberal victory when he named California a sanctuary state.
But Trump and his ICE director Thomas Homan just turned Brown’s dream into a total nightmare.
Look, we have laws for a reason and it is just about the dumbest thing in the world to blame law enforcement and undercut them for doing their jobs.

Right after Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf pulled an Adam Schiff and leaked, illegally leaked (if it is not illegal it should be) about ICE enforcement actions, ICE went to work.

Federal immigration agents arrested more than 150 people in California in the days after Oakland’s mayor gave early warning of the raids, it was announced Tuesday.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials announced that agents made the arrests in a three-day sweep starting Sunday that covered cities from Sacramento in the north to Stockton in the Central Valley. About half of those arrested for being in the country illegally had criminal convictions, the agency said.
Acting ICE director Thomas Homan said of the left’s horrendous treatment of law enforcement and their blatant abuse of the rule of law in this country:
“Sanctuary jurisdictions like San Francisco and Oakland shield dangerous criminal aliens from federal law enforcement at the expense of public safety. Because these jurisdictions prevent ICE from arresting criminal aliens in the secure confines of a jail, they also force ICE officers to make more arrests out in the community, which poses increased risks for law enforcement and the public.”
