President Trump came out swinging Friday morning. He’s fed up.
The President slammed fake news stories that were circulating about A.G. Jeff Sessions being replaced.
President Donald Trump denied stories that EPA administrator Scott Pruitt is being considered for Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ job, but noted that he is facing increasing criticism.
President Trump took to twitter saying:
“Do you believe that the Fake News Media is pushing hard on a story that I am going to replace A.G. Jeff Sessions with EPA Chief Scott Pruitt, who is doing a great job but is TOTALLY under siege? Do people really believe this stuff? So much of the media is dishonest and corrupt!”

According to The Daily Caller:
The EPA administrator’s status has come into question following a slate of damaging stories. He is accused of misusing taxpayer dollars including his consistent purchasing of first class airfare tickets on the public dime, possibly violating federal gifting laws by paying low market rent to an energy lobbyist while in Washington D.C. and giving two of his staffers pay raises despite objections from the White House.
Trump however expressed confidence in Pruitt Thursday saying “I do” when asked if he has confidence in his job. Other White House officials however have declined to say whether Pruitt’s status is secure in his job and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said his behavior is under review.
