Last year, congressman Steve Scalise (LA-R) was shot at a cogressional practice game with other Republicans. Today, he walks onto the field and takes his position on his second base spot.
The same base he was covering a year ago.
The congressmen were practicing on the field when an Illinois man opened fire on the Republican lawmakers:
However, tonight, Steve walks on the field and “In the first pitch of the game a ground ball was hit right to Scalise, who was starting at second base. He fielded it and from his knees got California Rep. Raul Ruiz out at first,” as reported by Fox News.
Steve tweets exactly one year later after the massacre:
“I’m back in the game.”
