On Friday night, Tom Arnold interviewed on CNN over what he described as an upcoming show to “expose President Trump using Michael Cohen’s recorded tapes.”

Arnold claimed he’s been meeting with Trump’s former attorney, Cohen, and that his eight episode show debuting in September is centered around tapes that will expose the Trump family for mistreatment of Cohen. (Video Below)

Before Tom Arnold interviewed on CNN, he tweeted a picture of himself and Cohen with the caption, “I love New York.” He then implied to NBC News that his meeting with Cohen had to do with a show he is working on with Vice about the search for incriminating video footage of President Trump.

“This dude has all the tapes — this dude has everything,” Arnold said. “I say to Michael, ‘Guess what? We’re taking Trump down together,’ and he’s so tired he’s like, ‘OK,’ and his wife is like, ‘OK, f— Trump.’”

However, Cohen tweeted that the two did not discuss Trump at all.

Later that day, Arnold backtracked on Twitter and issued an apology to NBC’s Emily Fox:

Arnold has since apologized for fabricating the meaning of the meeting.

But, it gets weirder. (Video Below)

Appearing on CNN Friday, Arnold said, “Oh yeah [Cohen’s] got tapes. Oh my God he’s recorded everybody. Cohen has denied that the meeting with Arnold was anything other than a “chance, public encounter.”

Poppy Harlow asked if Arnold has any tapes of Trump that are not already public.

Arnold replied, “Yes, he’s awful.”

But Arnold would not specify the content of the alleged tapes and what they would actually expose.

“We have a lot of things,” he said, and suggested some taped content is from Trump’s time during “The Apprentice.”

“I’m going to spend the weekend with Michael Cohen. And the president, Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, I’m spending the weekend hanging out with Michael Cohen, and there’s a lot going on. You’ve disrespected him and his family.”

“Did Michael Cohen tell you specifically that he is working with the authorities, that he has agreed to cooperate?” Harlow asked.

After a long pause and no direct answer, Arnold said he didn’t want to answer that question. “This is too important to me to eff around,” he said, adding that he’s doing the show for his children.
