On Day One, Kavanaugh Does Laps Around Ginsburg With A Major Accomplishment

Justice Brett Kavanaugh on his first day, hired the same amount of black law clerks as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had in her entire tenure of 25 years.

As reported by The Daily Caller, “Justice Brett Kavanaugh has hired a black law clerk for his new chambers at the U.S. Supreme Court.” (MORE BELOW.)

Kavanaugh moved into his offices in the High Court and discreetly began his hiring.

“With his first clerkship hires, Kavanaugh also set a gender composition record, an apparent attempt to buck the high court’s hiring patterns, which tend to favor white, male graduates of elite law schools, the Daily Caller reported.

Additionally, Kavanaugh set another record! The DC said, “Kavanaugh’s new clerks are Shannon Grammel, Megan Lacy, Sara Nommensen and Kim Jackson.”

“These hires set a record in a second respect: Kavanaugh is the first Supreme Court justice to hire an all female class of clerks,” the DC reported. (MORE BELOW.)

Kavanaugh blows Ginsburg’s record out of the water!

Ginsburg has hired 100 clerks during her tenure and only one of them was black. Kavanaugh matched her all time record on his first day!

Orin Hatch called Ginsburg out on her dismal minority hiring record during Ginsburg’s confirmation hearing in 1993.

The DC reported she said at the time, “I will try harder, and if you confirm me for this job my attractiveness to black candidates is going to improve,” Ginsburg replied, to much laughter throughout the hearing chamber.”  (MORE BELOW.)
