“Trump will NOT sign the bill without border security.” – Speaker Paul Ryan

Wednesday ahead of the vote,  Senior Political Analyst, Brit Hume with Fox News tweeted, “I agree. Opinion about Ryan (and McConnell) is an iq test for people on the right. If you think they’re the problem, you flunk.” And in this case, it turns out, Brit was correct.

Mid-Friday morning, Saagar Enjeti, White House Correspondent for The Daily Caller tweeted a photograph of outgoing Majority Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan on the White House lawn.

Enjeti said, “NEW: Speaker Ryan says Trump will NOT sign the bill without border security.

The Democrats who are obstructing The Wall have now been put on notice that the legislation will NOT be signed by the President unless funding for The Wall is included. (VIDEO BELOW.)

The White House issues a statement.

Ten minutes later, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House Press Secretary tweeted, “Readout from President Trump’s meeting with Republican House members:”

“President Trump just met with Republican Members of the House. Not surprisingly, they all feel strongly about Border Security – stopping the flow of drugs, stopping human trafficking, and stopping terrorism. We protect nations all over the world, but Democrats are unwilling to protect our nation. We urgently need funding for border security and that includes a wall.”

Several hours after the House meeting with the President, the Washington Examiner reported “GOP to rewrite spending bill after Trump says he ‘will not sign’ it.” (VIDEO BELOW.)

Ryan told the reporters outside the White House grounds, We just had a very long productive meeting with the President.”

“The President informed us that he will not sign the bill that came over from the Senate last evening because of his legitimate concerns for border security,” Ryan continued.

“So what we are going to do is go back to the House, work with our members,” Ryan said.

“We want to keep the government open, but we also want to see an agreement that protects the border,” the Washington Examiner reported on Speaker Ryan (R-WI). (VIDEO BELOW.)
