President Trump took to Twitter Thursday dropping off a video after he stood up for the American people for border security by not signing the legislation that was passed by Congress.
The reason President Trump will not sign the CR Bill is because it did not include “perfect Border Security.” (Video Below)
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House Press Secretary tweeted a readout from President Trump’s meeting with Republican House members where it read, “President Trump just met with Republican Members of the House. Not surprisingly, they all feel strongly about Border Security – stopping the flow of drugs, stopping human trafficking, and stopping terrorism. We protect nations all over the world, but Democrats are unwilling to protect our nation. We urgently need funding for border security and that includes a wall.”
Futher, Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters outside the White House grounds Thursday, “We just had a very long productive meeting with the President. The President informed us that he will not sign the bill that came over from the Senate last evening because of his legitimate concerns for border security,”

President Trump wrote on twitter, “Democrats, it is time to come together and put the SAFETY of the AMERICAN PEOPLE before POLITICS. Border security must become a #1 priority!”
In his video message, the Commander in Chief said, “he’s fighting very hard for border security.”
He informed everyone that he and his team have already starting building the wall fixing sections that are a mess. (Video Below)
President Trump went on to say, “the fact is, we need the wall. Democrats know it, everybody knows it. It’s only a game when they say you don’t need the wall.”
Then he called democrats out telling everyone to “look in their eyes” and ‘say well… they are not telling the truth.’

“They want to try anything possible to try and hurt us because of the fact: it’s politics. I understand that.” Trump added, “I don’t even hold it against them, except, you should always put your country first, and they’re not doing that. Politics first.”
“We have to build the wall, it will get built, we’re going to complete it.” The President confirmed that a lot of progress has been made and announced, “watch what happens.”
