After Announcing He’s Staying In DC, Trump Trolls MSM Reminding Them He’s Our ‘Favorite President’

President Trump took to Twitter Saturday where he announced he will be staying at the White House for Christmas following the government shutdown, instead of going to Mar-a-Lago with his family.

The President also blasted the fake news who continues to fan the flames of division, hate and propaganda, but he got the last laugh when he back and trolled them.

President Trump tweeted about the federal government that will continue to be partially shut down for the Christmas holiday, as the Senate adjourned Saturday afternoon with no deal. “Senate adjourns until December 27th,” He wrote.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced on the floor just before 3:30 p.m. that the Senate was adjourning for the day and would not return until Christmas Eve for a pro forma session at 11 a.m. The next time the Senate will be fully in for a session will be Thursday, Dec. 27, at 4 p.m., per Washington Examiner.

President Trump will spend Christmas in Washington due to the ongoing partial government shutdown. He wrote on Twitter, “I will not be going to Florida because of the Shutdown – Staying in the White House! #MAGA”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Sunday that First Lady Melania Trump will fly back from Florida “so they can spend Christmas together.” On Friday, Melania and their 12-year-old son, Barron, left the nation’s capital for Mar-a-Lago to keep the family’s tradition of celebrating Christmas in Palm Beach alive, reported Washington Examiner. (Continued Below)

President Trump blasted Brett McGurk for what he called “grandstanding” after his sudden resignation.

“Brett McGurk, who I do not know, was appointed by President Obama in 2015. Was supposed to leave in February but he just resigned prior to leaving. Grandstander? The Fake News is making such a big deal about this nothing event!” President Trump tweeted.

Brett McGurk, the top diplomat leading the fight against ISIS by working with the 79-member global coalition, turned in his resignation later Saturday, days after Defense Secretary James Mattis did the same in a move that was widely seen as a rebuke of the president’s actions this week, per Washington Examiner. (Continued Below)

President Trump also defended his decision to pull out of Syria while he trolled the mainstream media and his haters writing on Twitter, “If anybody but your favorite President, Donald J. Trump, announced that, after decimating ISIS in Syria, we were going to bring our troops back home (happy & healthy), that person would be the most popular hero in America. With me, hit hard instead by the Fake News Media. Crazy!”

Trump also addressed Mattis’ resignation where he reminded everyone that he hired him even after former President Barack Obama fired him as the head of Central Command in 2013.

President Trump wrote, “When President Obama ingloriously fired Jim Mattis, I gave him a second chance. Some thought I shouldn’t, I thought I should. Interesting relationship-but I also gave all of the resources that he never really had. Allies are very important-but not when they take advantage of U.S.”
