Fresh Into The Shutdown, Trump Fires A Bi-Partisan Wall Demand: ‘Let The Work Begin!’

President Trump took to Twitter Saturday to remind America he is working hard to fix the border situation.

As Commander in Chief, he will not stop until America is safe and secure. (Video Below)

The President sent out a number of tweets including a video where he declared our country “must have great border security” amid the government shutdown.

He wrote on Twitter Saturday afternoon, “The crisis of illegal activity at our Southern Border is real and will not stop until we build a great Steel Barrier or Wall. Let work begin!”

Further, the President Trump said, “I am in the White House, working hard. News reports concerning the Shutdown and Syria are mostly FAKE. We are negotiating with the Democrats on desperately needed Border Security (Gangs, Drugs, Human Trafficking & more) but it could be a long stay.”

He added, “On Syria, we were originally going to be there for three months, and that was seven years ago – we never left. When I became President, ISIS was going wild. Now ISIS is largely defeated and other local countries, including Turkey, should be able to easily take care of whatever remains. We’re coming home!” (Video Below)

The President informed everyone, “Will be having lunch in White House residence with large group concerning Border Security.”

According to the White House, President Trump met for lunch with Republicans Sen. Mike Lee, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. Richard Shelby, Rep. Mark Meadows, Rep. Jim Jordan, Rep. Matt Gaetz and Rep. Andy Biggs. A senior administration official told reporters during a briefing call that $5 billion in border wall funding is still the president’s goal, and that the proposal Democrats put forward is “unacceptable,” reported Axios.

Trump also pointed out, “I won an election, said to be one of the greatest of all time, based on getting out of endless & costly foreign wars & also based on Strong Borders which will keep our Country safe. We fight for the borders of other countries, but we won’t fight for the borders of our own!” (Video Below)

Late Friday night, the President emphasized the need for a wall in a video he posted to Twitter, and he blamed the shutdown on the Democrats.

President Trump declared, “OUR GREAT COUNTRY MUST HAVE BORDER SECURITY! We’re going to have a shutdown, there’s nothing we can do about that because we need the Democrats to give us their votes. Call it a democrat shutdown call it whatever you want, but we need their help to get this approved.”
