Amid the partial government shutdown and the holidays, President Trump opted to stay at the White House and work.
The President is keeping his promise to the American people and standing his ground to fight for border security and the wall.
On New Years Eve, President Donald Trump took to twitter in a three part series of tweets explaining that Mexico is and will pay for the wall through the new trade deal- USMCA.
Further, he noted that Democrats, when they take over the House on January 3rd, will try and make a deal without funding for the wall.

Fortunately, the Commander in Chief is sticking to his promise for the American people and fighting for the wall. He pointed out that the tech stuff that Democrats want, such as drones, are meaningless bells and whistles, and he added there can never be a replacement for a good old fashioned wall. President Trump wrote on Twitter New Years Eve, “MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL through the many billions of dollars a year that the U.S.A. is saving through the new Trade Deal, the USMCA, that will replace the horrendous NAFTA Trade Deal, which has so badly hurt our Country. Mexico & Canada will also thrive – good for all!
Continuing he said, “The Democrats will probably submit a Bill, being cute as always, which gives everything away but gives NOTHING to Border Security, namely the Wall. You see, without the Wall there can be no Border Security – the Tech “stuff” is just, by comparison, meaningless bells & whistles.”
Trump added, “Remember this. Throughout the ages some things NEVER get better and NEVER change. You have Walls and you have Wheels. It was ALWAYS that way and it will ALWAYS be that way! Please explain to the Democrats that there can NEVER be a replacement for a good old fashioned WALL!” (Continued Below)
