President Trump took to Twitter on Sunday in a series of tweets where he responded to news of Robert Mueller testifying before the House Judiciary Committee.
This comes after Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) joined host Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday” where he said that a “tentative” date of May 15 has been set.
Rep. Cicilline said that while there is no guarantee that Meuller will show up to the hearing, he did not directly hear from either Mueller’s representatives or the White House to indicate that the special counsels would not testify.
Cicilline said, “A ‘tentative date’ has been set for May 15th, and we hope the special counsel will appear. We think the American people have a right to hear directly from him. I think the representative for the special counsel has [agreed] but obviously, until the dates comes, we never have an absolute guarantee.”
On Friday, the President told reporters the decision to let the special counsel testify was up to the Attorney General, who has said that he has no objection.
However, the Commander in Cheif pushed back Sunday stating that there was “no collusion” between his campaign and Russia adding that Mueller should not testify. (Continued Below)
President Trump wrote on Twitter Sunday afternoon, “After spending more than $35,000,000 over a two year period, interviewing 500 people, using 18 Trump Hating Angry Democrats & 49 FBI Agents – all culminating in a more than 400 page Report showing NO COLLUSION – why would the Democrats in Congress now need Robert Mueller to testify.”
He continued, “Are they looking for a redo because they hated seeing the strong NO COLLUSION conclusion? There was no crime, except on the other side (incredibly not covered in the Report), and NO OBSTRUCTION. Bob Mueller should not testify. No redos for the Dems!”
It is not clear what directed the President to say why Mueller should not testify, perhaps he’s fed up with all the drama the Democrats are continuing to peddle, or he’s using a 4-D chess move. Reverse psychology? Usually, if the President says or wants something, Democrats do the opposite– so the question remains to be unknown at the moment. (Continued Below)
He further wrote quoting Whitewater independent counsel, Robert Ray, and said, “The Report sounded an awful lot as being Comeyesque, in other words, I’m not going to charge this person (there wasn’t even close to being a crime), but I’m going to criticize him on the way out the door. That’s unfortunate because it’s stepping outside of the role.” Robert Ray
Trump added, “This is not Congressional Oversight, this is bullying.” Jason Riley, The Wall Street Journal”
Fox News reported it’s possible that Barr could block Mueller from appearing since the special counsel is still a Justice Department employee. But Barr has said he has no objection to Mueller testifying.
House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) gave Barr a Monday deadline to comply with a subpoena demanding an unredacted version of Mueller’s report, along with its underlying evidence, or face a contempt charge.
Democrats are also threatening another subpoena for Barr after he declined to appear before a House hearing Thursday in a dispute over “staff attorneys” questioning him. (Continued Below)
The President concluded, “Despite the tremendous success that I have had as President, including perhaps the greatest ECONOMY and most successful first two years of any President in history, they have [stolen] two years of my (our) Presidency (Collusion Delusion) that we will never be able to get back.”
Further adding, “The Witch Hunt is over but we will never forget. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The President also retweeted posts from GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, and Jerry Falwell about the spying into his 2016 campaign from the Obama administration.
Comey’s FBI sent undercover agents to spy on @realDonaldTrump’s campaign.
It’s a stunning revelation of the lengths the Obama administration went.
Instead of a phony Russia collusion investigation, we actually need to investigate how this whole hoax started.

After the best week ever for @realDonaldTrump – no obstruction, no collusion, NYT admits @BarackObama did spy on his campaign, & the economy is soaring. I now support reparations-Trump should have 2 yrs added to his 1st term as pay back for time stolen by this corrupt failed coup
