Rand Paul Blasts The ‘Deep State’ For Not Revoking Brennan’s Security Clearance: He ‘Has No Business Holding A Clearance’

Senator Rand Paul was the biggest advocate pushing for the revoking of former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance before President Trump ordered it to happen.

The only problem now is that Brennan is rumored to still have his security clearance, in what appears to be the result of certain members of the Trump Administration defying the President’s order.

This was all brought forth to Senator Paul during his interview with CNN. He took a moment to address the issue, where he claims “deep state” operatives embedded in Trump’s Administration may be allowing Brennan’s clearance to remain intact.

In his interview, Rand said, “Now the deep state is protecting their own and not listening to the President’s orders.”

“I was in the White House when President Trump was said, ‘I want his security clearance taken,” Rand said. “And I saw the order was given.”

He continued, “And if they’re working against the odds of the President, that really does disrupt the country, that really does disrupt a representative democracy where the President makes the decision.”

Rand went on to say that if someone really is contrabanding Trump’s order, the President needs to get to the bottom of it.

He then accused Brennan of being a “partisan” and “he did abuse his office” with the investigation into Trump’s 2016 campaign. Sen. Paul concluded, “I think [the investigation] was done under false pretenses and done for political reasons.” Video Below
