Paul Ryan Reportedly Says Trump ‘Doesn’t Know Anything About Govt’, Trump Fires Back: ‘Couldn’t Get Him Out Of Congress Fast Enough’

Paul Ryan reportedly did not have very nice things to say about President Trump, according to leaked excerpts from Tim Alberta’s new book “American Carnage.”

In his book, Alberta highlighted statements that he said are from the former House Speaker that specifically target President Trump.

According to the book, Ryan said, “I told myself I gotta have a relationship with this guy to help him get his mind right. Because, I’m telling you, he didn’t know anything about government … I wanted to scold him all the time.”

The author, who has been known to be opposed to Trump, also wrote that Ryan criticized the President’s “knee jerking reactions” that he thinks are happening more since retiring as House Speaker. And that he and others “helped to stop him from making bad decisions. All the time.”

In a string of tweets, Trump fired back after being informed of the possible criticism from Ryan.

Trump said, “Paul Ryan, the failed V.P. candidate & former Speaker of the House, whose record of achievement was atrocious (except during my first two years as President), ultimately became a long running lame duck failure, leaving his Party in the lurch both as a fundraiser & leader.” Continued Below

“He had the Majority & blew it away with his poor leadership and bad timing,” the President continued. “Never knew how to go after the Dems like they go after us. Couldn’t get him out of Congress fast enough!”
