Trump Issues A Bold Recommendation To The ‘Fab Four’ Amid Their Feud With Pelosi: ‘Nancy Would Be Very Happy To Work Out Free Travel Arrangements!’

President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Sunday where he blasted the “fab four”, advising the freshmen congresswomen to “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came” before criticizing policies in the U.S. (The “fab four” term is coined sarcastically from Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) when he discussed the feuding between Nancy Pelosi and radicals in the Democrat party with Sean Hannity on Friday.)

The President’s tweets came after a week of drama between Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and a group of freshman House Democrats, specifically Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA).

The President wrote on Twitter Sunday, “So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.”

Then, he suggested, “Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

According to The Hill, Omar was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, before coming to the U.S. as a refugee with her family. Pressley was born in Cincinnati, while Tlaib was born in Detroit. Ocasio-Cortez was born in New York.

The group of progressive congresswomen were offended last week after Pelosi questioned their influence in an interview with The New York Times and referred to them  as “the Squad.” Pelosi said to the Times, “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world. But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.” (Continued Below)

Ocasio-Cortez responded to Pelosi’s statement by accusing her of repeatedly singling out elected women of color. “When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “But the persistent singling out … it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful … the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color,” she added.

On Friday, President Trump defended Pelosi while speaking to reporters before heading to Wisconson, saying that it was “very disrespectful” for Ocasio-Cortez to criticize Pelosi.

“I think [Ocasio-Cortez] is being very disrespectful to somebody who’s been there a long time,”  President Trump said reporters. “I deal with Nancy Pelosi a lot and we go back and forth and it’s fine, but I think that a group of people is being very disrespectful to her. And you know what, I don’t think that Nancy can let that go on.” (Continued Below)

Despite the President sticking up for Pelosi, she went back to supporting the Democratic freshmen, and now her previous comments and outrage from the “fab four” are turned back around onto President Trump. Pelosi claimed that Trump wants to “make America white again.” Earlier in the week, Pelosi also claimed the same thing, after Trump pushed for a citizenship question to be on the 2020 census.

Speaker Pelosi tweeted on Sunday, “When @realDonaldTrump tells four American Congresswomen to go back to their countries, he reaffirms his plan to “Make America Great Again” has always been about making America white again. Our diversity is our strength and our unity is our power. I reject @realDonaldTrump’s xenophobic comments meant to divide our nation. Rather than attack Members of Congress, he should work with us for humane immigration policy that reflects American values. Stop the raids – #FamiliesBelongTogether!”

Ocasio-Cortez vented her frustration and wrote, “Mr. President, the country I “come from,” & the country we all swear to, is the United States. But given how you’ve destroyed our border with inhumane camps, all at a benefit to you & the corps who profit off them, you are absolutely right about the corruption laid at your feet.”

She continued, “You are angry because you don’t believe in an America where I represent New York 14, where the good people of Minnesota elected @IlhanMN, where @RashidaTlaib fights for Michigan families, where @Ayanna Pressley champions little girls in Boston. You are angry because you can’t conceive of an America that includes us. You rely on a frightened America for your plunder.”

AOC added, “You won’t accept a nation that sees healthcare as a right or education as a #1 priority, especially where we’re the ones fighting for it. Yet here we are. But you know what’s the rub of it all, Mr. President? On top of not accepting an America that elected us, you cannot accept that we don’t fear you, either. You can’t accept that we will call your bluff & offer a positive vision for this country. And that’s what makes you seethe.” (Continued Below)

Ilhan Omar tweeted, “As Members of Congress, the only country we swear an oath to is the United States. Which is why we are fighting to protect it from the worst, most corrupt and inept president we have ever seen.”

Rashida Tlaib said, “Want a response to a lawless & complete failure of a President? He is the crisis. His dangerous ideology is the crisis. He needs to be impeached. Yo @realDonaldTrump, I am fighting corruption in OUR country. I do it every day when I hold your admin accountable as a U.S. Congresswoman. Detroit taught me how to fight for the communities you continue to degrade & attack. Keep talking, you’ll be out of the WH soon. #TickTock”

Ayanna Pressley wrote, “THIS is what racism looks like. WE are what democracy looks like. And we’re not going anywhere. Except back to DC to fight for the families you marginalize and vilify everyday.”
