Pres Trump Defends Justice Kavanaugh Amid Resurfaced Claims Of Sexual Misconduct: ‘They Want To Scare Him Into Turning Liberal’

President Trump took to Twitter Sunday morning where he defended Justice Brett Kavanaugh after a new allegation of sexual misconduct surfaced against the Supreme Court justice and the President suggested the Justice Department should “come to his rescue.”

This comes as The New York Times reported a story about the account of a male Yale classmate of Brett Kavanaugh named Max Stier, who alleges that Kavanaugh, at the urging of some friends, performed an obscene act while mistreating a woman at a party.

The Times reported Saturday that Stier told the FBI about the alleged incident during Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation process but the FBI did not investigate further.

“Now the Radical Left Democrats and their Partner, the LameStream Media, are after Brett Kavanaugh again, talking loudly of their favorite word, impeachment,” President Trump wrote on Twitter. “He is an innocent man who has been treated HORRIBLY. Such lies about him. They want to scare him into turning Liberal!”

In another tweet, the President suggested that Kavanaugh “should start suing people for liable, or the Justice Department should come to his rescue.”

“Brett Kavanaugh should start suing people for libel, or the Justice Department should come to his rescue,” President Trump continued, “The lies being told about him are unbelievable. False Accusations without recrimination. When does it stop? They are trying to influence his opinions. Can’t let that happen!” (Continued Below)

Kavanaugh was confirmed in a 50-48 Senate vote last October after undergoing a contentious hearing when Christine Blassey Ford accused him of sexual misconduct during a high school party they attended in the mid-1980s. Kavanaugh denied the accusations, as reported by New York Post.

The story, when it was published online Saturday, created a bizarre turn of events for the Times when it tweeted about the story, then retracted the tweet, only to retract the retraction and then offer an apology. (Continued Below)
