Attorney Sidney Powell spoke with host Lou Dobbs on Fox Business Thursday where she weighed in on Democrats’ impeachment effort surrounding President Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky.
Despite President Trump releasing the transcript of the phone call, which reveals no quid pro quo but does show the President wondering about reported collusion in 2016 with Ukraine and Hillary Clinton, Democrats claim the President is trying to interfere in the 2020 election.
“The Democrats are running a big charade of an impeachment inquiry,” Sidney Powell told Dobbs. “There’s nothing real about it, they’re making it up as they go. They’re changing the rules as they go.”
“The entire Ukrainian thing is as big a hoax, with respect to the President, as was the Russia collusion narrative and the obstruction narrative. None of it’s real,” she added.
Asked why the national left-wing media is following suit with the Democrats’ “con job”, authored by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Powell replied, “Most of the media is part of it. They are literally part of the conspiracy.”
“There were reporters paid by Fusion GPS … to foster the whole collusion narrative. And I’m sure they’re doing the same thing with all of this– reporters are part of the problem,” she noted. (Continued Below)
Fusion GPS, the company mostly responsible for the controversial “Trump dossier” on presidential candidate Donald Trump, made payments to three journalists between June 2016 until February 2017. The recipients’ names, the amounts, and purposes of those payments were either redacted from the documents that Fusion GPS filed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia or were not disclosed, per Washington Examiner.
Glenn Simpson, who is the co-founder of Fusion GPS and who was part of the Steele Dossier, had a secret meeting in Aspen, Colorado last summer with Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Hillary Clinton paid the law firm Perkins Coie, who hired Glenn Simpson, who went and hired a foreigner — Christopher Steele, who then put the Steele Dossier together.
However, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) threatened to subpoena Fusion GPS’ bank records. Adam Schiff tried to ‘block Congress’ from getting that information. Then, a judge denied Fusion GPS’s request for an injunction blocking the House Intel committee from subpoenaing a bank for records about Fusion’s financial transactions. (Video Below)
