On Monday, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) dropped out the 2020 presidential race and announced his decision in a statement posted on Twitter.
In response, President Donald Trump sarcastically reacted on Twitter saying, “Now I can rest easy tonight.”
“Really Big Breaking News (Kidding): Booker, who was in zero polling territory, just dropped out of the Democrat Presidential Primary Race,” President Trump wrote.
“Now I can rest easy tonight. I was sooo concerned that I would someday have to go head to head with him!” he joked.
Senator Booker posted a video on Twitter to say: “Today I am suspending my campaign with the same spirit with which it began. It is my faith in us, my faith in us together as a nation. And we share common pain and common problems that can only be solved with a common purpose and common cause.”

“So now, I recommit myself to the work. I can’t wait to get back on the campaign trail and campaign as hard as I can for whoever is the eventual nominee, and for candidates up and down the ballot. But for now, I want to say thank you. … Together we will rise,” the New Jersey Senator said.

“It’s with a full heart that I share this news—I’m suspending my campaign for president. To my team, supporters, and everyone who gave me a shot—thank you,” Booker included with his announcement. “I am so proud of what we built, and I feel nothing but faith in what we can accomplish together.” (Video Below)
