One of President Trump’s big campaign promises was jobs and always putting America first.

He announced Thursday a host of new “punitive” tariffs that will be implemented as soon as Monday. (VIDEOS BELOW)

The President made the announcement during a meeting with industry executives at the White House, arguing that domestic producers have been treated very unfairly by previous administrations. He knows the Art of the Deal.

“What’s been allowed to go on for decades is disgraceful. And when it comes to a time when our country can’t make aluminum and steel, and somebody said it before and I will tell you, you almost don’t have much of a country. Because without steel and aluminum, your country is not the same. We need it. We need it even for defense, if you think, we need it for defense.”

“We need great steel makers. Great aluminum makers for defense. So, we will probably see you some time next week. We will be signing it in. You have protection for the first time in a long while and you are going to regrow your industries. That’s all I’m asking. You have to regrow your industries.”

In addition, the President tweeted earlier Thursday morning. (VIDEOS BELOW)

“Our Steel and Aluminum industries (and many others) have been decimated by decades of unfair trade and bad policy with countries from around the world,” he wrote.

“We must not let our country, companies and workers be taken advantage of any longer. We want free, fair and SMART TRADE!”

During the White House press briefing on Wednesday, the press questioned the President’s decision on the tariff’s while trying to undermine his judgement. What the press seems to forget is that the President always will put American jobs first.

Anything Trump does, the press continues to knock him down. It’s just sad.

John Roberts from Fox News asked Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders about the results and effects from his announcement on the tariff’s, essentially trying to make President Trump look bad as the market dropped afterwards.

Sarah immediately put Roberts in his place saying, “The President is concerned with the men and women of this country who have been forgotten about.”

The next reporter up at bat took her shot trying to do the same thing, but failed miserably. (VIDEOS BELOW)

She asked Sarah why the President decided to announce it today without informing the press. Sarah held back her laughter while striking a home run.

“I don’t think the President always tells you guys first. It’s not a surprise, and we’re going to continue doing what we can to protect American workers. That was something the President committed to during the campaign, ” Sarah said.

The President won’t apologize for protecting American workers. Plain and simple.

Watch the two short clips below as Sarah puts the reporters in their places.

“This is something, again, that the president has been talking about for a long time.”

Thank you President Trump for putting America First, and remembering the forgotten men and women. If you are proud, drop a comment below and SHARE the news.
