During a Wednesday interview on CNN, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) criticized President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for the upcoming Tulsa, Oklahoma Trump rally, which will take place Saturday, June 20, calling it an “ego trip”.

“What I am concerned about is the attitude of the president and the vice president of the United States– for the president to have this ego trip that he wants to take to Tulsa to have a mass rally– people coming together, endangering their own health, and the people they go home to,” Pelosi said.

Nancy Pelosi cited COVID-19 case numbers, though she showed up in D.C., outside of the Capitol on June 4th, to join crowds of protesters after the death of George Floyd.

“Today is June 17. On March 17, there were 100 known deaths from the coronavirus in the Untied States. Today on June 17, there are over 117,000 deaths from the coronavirus, a complete failure on the part of this administration– for calling it a hoax, it’s gonna go away magically, there’s gonna be a miracle,” Pelosi said.

She went on to talk about the Heroes Act, which Democrats passed last month in the House, saying the legislation “has an initiative for massive testing, tracing, treatment, and separation”, suggesting the stimulus package is the the answer to “defeat the virus.”

“We don’t have a vaccine, we don’t have a cure,” Pelosi said. “Hopefully we will soon, but we do have testing.” Continued Below

Asked if “she worries with President Trump going to Tulsa that people can die as a result of going to his rally?”

“I do worry that they can become infected, and we don’t know how it would go from there,” Pelosi said. “But all of the science– most universally– the scientists have spoken out from leading heath institutions and academic institutions in our country. The people should be tested– that they should wear masks. We’re way behind in our testing in our country.”

“And the number of people– the rate of death in our country, we’re among the worst in the world,” she claimed. “Because we didn’t pay serious attention to this.” Video Below

“I’m a mom and a grandmother and I just can’t even tolerate the thought that the leadership in our country– where we’re putting important money– giving them important money for all of these things and they are ignoring the need that we have for increased testing, tracing, treatment, separation– wearing masks and the rest,” Pelosi said.

“It’s a danger to the president himself and he’s our president. We don’t want him to be endangered, but we don’t want to be foolish about it, she added.

Meanwhile, Pelosi demands that the Senate pass the Heroes Act, which in the bill, would allow those who use taxpayer-identification numbers to be eligible for direct cash assistance, paving the way for illegal aliens, who don’t have Social Security numbers, to be eligible for $1,200 checks.

House minority leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) tweeted last month: “NOT SO FAST, NANCY”.
